You can click on their names to view their CVs, and see where they came from before attending UT-Austin’s counseling psychology program, what they have been up to while being a part of our lab, as well as how they like to spend their free time in Austin, TX.


Dr. Mike Parent

Dr. Parent completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Manitoba, and graduate degree at the University of Florida. Aside from working at Texas Tech University, he likes to spend his time with his dog, is an avid amateur cook, and weight trains.


Teresa Gobble

Teresa is a 1st year doctoral student. She is from Tallahassee, FL. She has worked with local crisis intervention program and her student Pride union. She has worked with the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, traveling across Florida to provide support to domestic violence centers. She enjoys bird watching, tabletop roleplaying games, and listening to live music.


Andrew Arriaga

Andrew is a 2nd year counseling psychology doctoral student from Lubbock, TX. He is active with various organizations in the service of LGBTQ+ health and wellness, including the Central Texas Transgender Health Coalition, Out Youth, and the APA Division 44 Children, Youth, and Families Committee. In his free time he enjoys watching horror films, singing karaoke, and spending time with his husband and dogs.

Nathaniel Woznicki

Nate is a 2nd year counselor education masters student from Rothschild, WI. He is currently interested in how LGBTQ community organizations affect health and wellness as well as dynamics of stigma within these communities. In his free time, he enjoys loud live music, horror movies, crosswords, and hanging out with his friends’ cats.

Lexie Willie

Lexie is a first year counseling psychology doctoral student from Bel Air, MD. She is interested in improving the accessibility and effectiveness of mental health services for the LGBTQ community. In her free time, she enjoys live music, sampling new beers, and traveling to new places.
